Coast Air Center Hosts Governor Newsom at KMYF Hangar
At Coast Air Center, we’re no strangers to big arrivals at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport (KMYF). But while our ramp is usually packed with Cirrus SR22s and Vision Jets, things looked a little different this week.
Governor Gavin Newsom and his team took over our hangar for a major San Diego press conference, transforming our aircraft maintenance floor into a statewide stage.
It isn’t every day the Governor chooses your facility as a backdrop. While we’re best known as San Diego’s premier Authorized Cirrus Service Center, this visit reinforced what many already know—our facility is one of the cleanest and most professional FBO locations in Southern California.
Why the Hangar Was the Perfect Backdrop
The event required a location that reflects California’s innovation and high-tech energy—and nothing represents that better than a pristine hangar filled with advanced general aviation aircraft.
- The Ultimate Venue: Our hangar isn’t just for inspections and engine work—it’s a top-tier environment built for precision, performance, and presentation.
- Aviation Advocacy: Hosting events like this highlights the critical role San Diego aviation and local airports play in California’s infrastructure.
- Business as Usual: Despite media crews and security presence, our factory-trained technicians continued operations without disruption—keeping aircraft on schedule as always.
Fly in for the Service, Stay for the Quality
Whether you’re a government official, business leader, or aircraft owner who demands the highest standards for your Cirrus aircraft, Coast Air Center delivers a consistent, VIP-level experience.
Every client who taxis onto our ramp receives the same level of professionalism and attention to detail— regardless of who they are.
If you're flying into San Diego, visit the facility that’s making headlines. From competitive Jet-A and 100LL fuel pricing to spotless hangars and an award-winning team, we’re built to perform under pressure.
Let’s get you on the schedule.
